“When a family experiences grief, the impact ripples through each member in unique and profound ways.”
Grief affects every family differently. Some may find comfort by leaning on each other, while others may struggle to communicate their feelings. Through Family Therapy, we provide guidance and tools to help family members understand one another better.
Family Therapy can assist with situations such as:
- Coping with the loss of a parent, child, or other loved one.
- Adjusting to life changes like divorce, separation, job loss, moving, or illness.
- Resolving misunderstandings or tension related to grief or stress.
- Creating shared ways to honour and remember loved ones.
Our sessions are designed to foster unity while helping individuals process their personal emotions.
‘‘Grief is the price we pay for love.”
Caring for a loved one with a chronic or terminal illness is an act of love, but it can also be emotionally and physically draining.
Caregiving often means putting someone else’s needs before your own. Over time, this can lead to exhaustion, feelings of overwhelm, and even burnout. Through Caregiver Support, we provide an opportunity to focus on you – your emotions, your wellbeing, and your needs.
Our experienced counsellors will guide you in:
- Navigating the emotional complexities of caregiving.
- Developing strategies to reduce stress and prevent burnout.
- Building resilience to cope with daily challenges.
- Finding ways to balance caregiving with self-care.
Caregiver Support can help you with:
- Emotional Overwhelm – Learn tools to acknowledge and manage difficult feelings like guilt, sadness, or frustration.
- Grief and Loss – Navigate anticipatory grief or the loss of the future you envisioned.
- Caregiver Burnout – Recognise the signs and discover ways to restore your energy and mental wellbeing.
- Family Dynamics – Address conflicts or division that caregiving responsibilities may cause.
