Experience that shapes my work

My work has been shaped by a broad range of professional and life experiences, both in Australia and internationally.

I began my career over two decades ago as a trauma counsellor with the South African Police, supporting officers, victims, and families through the challenges of trauma, grief, and loss. This experience shaped my understanding of the unique journeys individuals and families face during difficult times.

Living and working in more than 10 countries around the world, I’ve supported people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. This experience strengthened my awareness of the cultural, family, and personal influences that shape relationships, identity, and emotional wellbeing. I learnt to honour cultural rituals and traditions as part of the healing process.

Today, I bring this experience to The Beach Haven, where I support individuals, couples, and families through life’s most difficult challenges.
