You Don't Have to Keep Carrying This Alone
Are you struggling with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or the weight of experiences you can’t seem to leave behind? Using proven, highly effective techniques including EMDR, we help individuals heal from trauma, reclaim their sense of self, and move forward with confidence.
How We Can Help
Heal the Past
Understand how past experiences are shaping your present. Process painful memories safely, so they lose their grip on your daily life.
Rebuild Sense of Self
Reconnect with your own worth and strength. Move from surviving to genuinely thriving — with tools that last well beyond the therapy room.
Find Steadier Ground
Develop lasting strategies to manage anxiety, regulate emotions, and respond to life’s challenges from a place of calm rather than fear.
A Note from Elanie
If you’re reading this, something has probably been weighing on you for a long time, maybe longer than you’ve admitted to yourself.
Perhaps you’ve tried to push through it, told yourself it wasn’t that bad, or wondered why certain things still affect you the way they do. You might feel on edge without quite knowing why, or find yourself reacting in ways that surprise you.
That’s not weakness. That’s what trauma does. It doesn’t stay in the past. It lives in the nervous system, in the body, in the patterns we fall into without realising it.
In my work with trauma survivors, I’ve seen what happens when people finally feel safe enough to process what they’ve been carrying. It doesn’t happen overnight, but with the right support and the right tools, real healing is possible.
Let’s take the first step — book a session and we’ll start by understanding what’s been happening and what you need.
Trauma therapy can help if you're experiencing:
- Anxiety, panic, or a persistent sense of dread
- Flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, or disturbing dreams
- Feeling emotionally numb, detached, or "not yourself"
- Difficulty trusting others or feeling safe in relationships
- Childhood experiences that still affect how you feel and behave
- A pattern of self-doubt, shame, or low self-worth
- Hypervigilance — always waiting for something to go wrong
- Stress responses that feel out of proportion to what's happening

Healing from Childhood Trauma
Childhood trauma doesn’t always look dramatic from the outside. It can be neglect, emotional unavailability, instability, or experiences that left you feeling unsafe, unseen, or not enough. Those early experiences can shape everything as an adult – from how you see yourself to how you relate to others.
We work to understand the roots of what you’re carrying, process what needs to be processed, and build a stronger sense of who you are. This isn’t about reliving the past. It’s about releasing its hold on your present.
Sessions available in-person in Joondalup and Mindarie, and online across Perth and Australia. We recommend beginning with a 60-minute individual session.

Getting Started
We’ll begin by understanding how your traumatic experiences are showing up in your life today. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to.
Begin Processing
Using evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, we work to process what you’ve been carrying and build practical tools for lasting change.
Will I have to talk about everything that happened in detail?
No. EMDR in particular is effective without requiring you to describe traumatic events in depth. We always work at a pace that feels safe for you.
What is EMDR and how does it work?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) uses guided bilateral stimulation — such as eye movements — to help the brain process distressing memories so they no longer feel overwhelming. It’s one of the most well-researched trauma therapies available.
How long does trauma therapy take?
It varies depending on the type and complexity of your experiences. Some people notice significant relief within a few sessions; others benefit from longer-term support. We’ll discuss this openly with you from the start.
Is trauma therapy only for people with a PTSD diagnosis?
No. You don’t need a formal diagnosis to benefit from trauma therapy. Many people carry the effects of difficult experiences without ever receiving a label — and therapy can still make a significant difference.
