Meet our Riggs and Momo...

British Short Hair Therapy Cat
Meet Momo - Blue-Golden British Shorthair

Meet Riggs and Momo, our resident therapy cats who call the The Beach Haven home (part time).  On days you visit in person, they may join your session if you’d like the company.

Research consistently shows that the presence of an animal can help lower anxiety, ease emotional defences, and create a sense of warmth and safety that is difficult to put into words. For many people, having a cat nearby can make it a little easier to breathe, to settle, and to open up.

If you’d prefer no cats in your session — whether due to allergies, a fear of cats, or simply personal preference — please let me know in your intake form.  The room will be thoroughly prepared before you arrive, and no further explanation is needed.

When to Seek Help ...

Navigating relationship issues, conflict, trauma, grief or loss can feel isolating, but you don’t have to face it alone.

Consider reaching out for support if:

  • You feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unable to move forward.
  • Your challenges are impacting your daily life, work, or relationships.
  • You’re struggling with feeling overwhelmed or feelings of hopelessness.
  • Trust in your relationship has been broken and you don’t know how to rebuild and reconnect
  • You want to strengthen your relationships and improve communication.
  • You’re seeking a safe space to process your emotions and find a path forward.
‘‘Thank you! I mean really thank you! I'm still decompressing from the weekend. Your guiding questions, suggested reading, and legacy project have already become gifts for my whole family’
