Discernment counselling

Still Deciding?

If you’re not entirely sure yet if you want to separate from your partner, discernment counselling is a short, structured process for couples where one partner wants to save the relationship and the other partner is uncertain. Discernment counselling is designed to give you the space to fully consider the separation before you decide.

Yes, in some situations. Most of our separation work is one-to-one, but we also see former partners together to work on communication and co-parenting.

No. We support the emotional aspects that accompany separation. We are not qualified to help with legal and financial decisions and would recommend that you seek independent advice in these areas.

Yes, we offer a couple of different paths for couples considering getting back together after a period of separation.
